We have been working through the Old Wive’s Tales and so far, there have been way more “girl” boxes checked off than “boy.”
We purchased this little gizmo, which is really just a packaged version of the draino test. The web site claims that it is very accurate, but we’re still doing it for fun and will not purchase any pink or blue, based on what it tells us. However, I didn’t feel safe doing an actual “draino” test. So when the Old Wives Tale book said to do the “draino test,” we let the Intelligender take its place.
As it turns out the tester turned a deep, dark green, which indicates a “boy,” so there’s another check in the “boy” test. (Note: please do not purchase this baby boy gifts based on the tester turning a deep, dark green.)
Morgan was SO upset that she screamed, “But I don’t WANT another brother! I want another sister” ran into her room, slammed the door behind her, and didn’t come out for a long, long time.
When she came out of her room, the following conversation occured:
Daddy: Morgan, you already have a sister AND a brother, but Jared doesn’t have a brother. Wouldn’t it be great if he did?
Morgan: But Daddy, I want TWO sisters.
Mama: Well, Morgan, maybe in a couple of years, we’ll bring home a little sister from India? And this “test” is really just for fun, all the questions in this book (pointing to the book of Old Wive’s Tales) are like games. I may still have a little girl.
Jared: I want lil brother, Mama. Jared have little brother, please?
Daddy: Well we’ll have whatever God wants to give to us.
Morgan: I know! Mama, you should go ahead and have twins–one boy and one girl–that way we all get what we want!
