After never even having a hint of a runny nose or illness, my baby boy experienced his first fever at almost 15 months old. His symptoms weren’t too severe, save a fever with a sporadic cough and a few sneezes; nevertheless, he was miserable.
I immediately grabbed my kit of essential oils, a few tinctures, and my Hyland’s Kids Kit.
In the past, homeopathy has been one of my last resorts as I like my herbs, essential oils, and nutritional therapies!
While I’ve used the Kid’s Kit with my older children, and it’s my favorite go-to homeopathic kit, this was the first time I used it with my little guy.
After following the dosage instructions to the letter, I noticed that his symptoms eased enough to get some rest. After a few days, he was back to his usual happy self.
Have you ever tried homeopathic remedies? Curious about them? Would you like to have your own Kid’s Kit to try in your home?
My friend Jill, from Jill’s Home Remedies, and I are teaming up to offer one of our readers a chance to win their own Hyland’s Kid’s Kit, complete with full-size bottles of seven remedies:
Aconite 30X, Arnica 30X, Belladonna 30X, Chamomilla 30X, Ferrum Phos. 30X, Hepar Sulph. 30X, and Bumps ‘n Bruises Ointment
There’s also a booklet, with basic instructions. I prefer to use independent books, but the booklet offers adequate information.
If you want to delve into homeopathic medicine more, I highly recommend seeking out a qualified Naturopathic Doctor, who has special training in homeopathy.
Let me give my usual disclaimer: I’m not a doctor! I’m a Mama who enjoys reading, researching, and sharing things I like and that I feel have benefited my family.
Also, while I enjoy natural remedies and use them regularly, I’ll seek out a competent physician, if I feel my child needs to see one. When they run extremely high fevers, I may take them in just to rule out anything major, and then proceed with natural home remedies. No one knows your babies better than you, so please use your best judgment when your little ones are ill. 🙂

I found this expectorant syrup at wal-mart…similason or something like that. Our kids have had that same cough, fever and runny nose/congestion for a week before turning to this (an eucalyptus/tea tree steam in the bathroom).

I don’t have a favorite homeopathic product at this point unless Ecchinacea counts!
Jacinda @ Growing Home says
I’ve been taking Arnica for the past several months to help dissolve my blood clot and Sepia (Inky Juice) to help sustain my pregnancy so I’d say those two are my favorite. 🙂

Arnica! Never leave home without it. Followed closely by Chamomilla. I’ve had teething babies and/or toddlers for 16 years. SO thankful for the relief.
