Why buy cleaning supplies when you can easily make your own natural cleaning supplies? One of the biggest advantages to making your own supplies is that you know exactly what you’re spraying around your home. Many commercial brand cleaners contain chemicals that may actually be doing more harm than good. Another benefit is that you can usually make your own products cheaper than what you pay for commercial brands.

Multi-purpose Cleaner
Fill a spray bottle three-quarters the way full of water and add white vinegar until it’s full. Then use it to clean and disinfect all types of surfaces. You can also add a couple of tablespoons of baking soda to give it an extra boost for hard to clean surfaces.
Air Freshener
You can make your own all natural air freshener by simply mixing a few drops of your favorite essential oils into a spray bottle of water. Just give it a shake before each use. Not only will your home smell great but certain oils will also clean and sanitize the air.
Streak-free Window Cleaner
Add ½ a teaspoon of natural soap and ¼ cup of vinegar to about two cups of water, and you have an all natural window cleaner that really works.
Carpet Cleaner and Deodorizer
Freshen up those smelly carpets with your own carpet cleaner and deodorizer. Simply add a couple of drops of essential oils to some baking soda and shake over the carpet. You can also add borax powder, bay leaves and cloves to the mix.
Thieves Household Cleaner
Convenient and easy on the budget, Thieves Household Cleaner is our absolute favorite! We add a capful to 2 cups of water into a glass spray bottle, and our home is filled with the fragrance of essential oils, we’re killing germs, and the concentrate lasts for months.
Making your own cleaning supplies is easy, cost effective and they don’t contain the same nasty chemicals that many commercial brands do, so they’re better for you and the environment.
