I’ve been chatting with some other Mamas recently about patience and how I seem to be feeling a lot less of it lately. To my surprise several of them spoke of how they also have been impatient with their own kids recently and feel guilty. Having more patience toward my children has been a heavy and frequent prayer of mine lately. I’m used to God answering prayer but I was surprised that this prayer was answered so quickly.
While driving out to Fayetteville this morning, I happened to catch a sermon on Impatience. I’ve linked below to Dr. SM Davis’s site (see favorite sites list) and he is one of my favorites to listen to. He’s a preacher with a great sense of humor. His words can lead you to conviction and laughter at the same time.
The message really hit home and I fell under a LOT of conviction regarding how I respond to my children. Most folks tell me that I have the patience of a saint but believe me, there are times when my patience can wear very thin. Anyone who is interested in this type of message can find the CD here
