I can’t wait to get my disk drive working again as adding pictures to these entries would just be so much more interesting!
We’re getting ready to go on our vacation. One of the great things about homeschooling is taking our vacation the week after Labor Day weekend, when the majority of kids are back in school, the crowds are gone, and we can find some fantastic deals on lodging.
Part of packing is cleaning the house–we do all the laundry, dust, vacuum, change the bedding, and do a “pantry challenge,” so we don’t come home to a messy house and spoiled food.
It’s been quite a while since Morgan and Jared cleaned under their beds. About 15+ items were found and Morgan was so excited that every 5 minutes, I heard, “Mama! Mama! I can’t believe it! Look what we found! I’ve been looking everywhere for it!”
I was able to capture her ecstatic face on film and wish I could post it here. Her excitement rivaled that of her first experience with S’Mores!
Tomorrow is our picnic with our adoption group. Since I’m the moderator for the family network, I’m hoping to meet several of the families face to face. And then Sunday we’re off!
We return on the 15th, when we have our next ultrasound. Perhaps we’ll have some new pictures to post by then? And perhaps we’ll be able to learn the gender? Or the baby may decide it still doesn’t want to show us anything.
