I’m honored to be a co-author and contributing writer for the following books I consider to be tremendous resources:

The Pursuit of Motherhood is a collection of true-life stories, written by moms for moms. My chapter is written for the special needs mom. While it’s been several years since we entered the realm of therapists, multiple doctors, evaluations, psychologists, etc., I remember those early days, trying to make sense of it all.
Whether you’re the mom of a special needs child or not, the line-up of authors in this book is impressive. I’ve admired most of these women for years, and I know they’ll inspire you as you move forward in your ministry to those under your care.

Above Rubies I’ve written a couple of articles for this inspirational publication that encourages women in their high calling as wives, mothers, and homemakers. Above Rubies also offers family and ladies’ retreats. My first ladies’ retreat completely changed me as a wife and mama.
Ministries I write for and support:
The Seed Company: I never gave much thought to Bible translation until I met my husband, who was led to Christ through an American missionary. While my husband is British and therefore has a Bible in his native language, the new appreciation for missions ultimately led to my learning about the many people groups who don’t have a Bible in their language. “There are nearly 2,000 languages that need a Bible translation, representing almost 209 million people. More than just numbers, these are individual people without access to the life-giving, life-changing hope and power of God’s Word.”
Gospel for Asia: “Gospel for Asia is providing education for the less fortunate children of Asia, involved in ministering to leprosy patients, helping victims of floods and other natural disasters, involved in literature distribution in various languages for character development and an understanding of Jesus Christ.” Usually once a month, I’ll provide information on how you can get involved to support the families GfA works to reach.
Reece’s Rainbow: As a special needs mama, this ministry has a very special place in my heart. While we have great resources in the US for special needs children, it can be a different situation altogether for special needs orphans, specifically those in other countries. Did you know that in some countries, special needs children are considered cursed and are often neglected or left to die by their parents? For some, it’s a true miracle that they even make it to an orphanage. Even if you don’t feel called to adopt, please consider a tax-deductible contribution to a family who has stepped out in faith to provide one of these little ones with a home where he or she will thrive.
Teach Them Diligently: “The Teach Them Diligently Convention was born out of a recognized need for more events celebrating the focus of Christian Homeschool Families—that is, to disciple their children to glorify God.” I am absolutely thrilled to be a writer for Teach Them Diligently. Most homeschool conventions focus solely on curriculum choices, educational workshops, and add in a sprinkling of ministry. With TTD, the main focus is discipleship, strengthening our relationships with God, within our marriage, with our children, and seeing the overall big picture! If you need a mission plan or need to know why you’re homeschooling, this is the convention for you! After attending our first convention, we felt as though we’d just attended a revival.
