I was well into a 36 hour labor (actual labor time was 35 hours and 55 minutes–my OCD ensures that this is an accurate time. :))
I had my first contraction at 7:00pm on the dot on Friday, February 13th while watching Omarosa on a taped The Apprentice. I knew that I would have a Valentine Baby, but so wanted him to have his very own special day.
Since it was my 2nd baby, they said I would only go for about 8 hours, max (Ha. Ha. Ha). I was up all night on the 13th, all day on the 14th, and finally Jared came out at 6:55am on the 15th.
I was just thinking that if I was using my former OB for my surgery tomorrow, I would be with the same people and in the same hospital I was in with Jared 4 years ago tomorrow.
And we didn’t do anything really that V-day as that was also my first non-medicated birth, so I was at home, sitting on a labor ball and walking around my neighborhood with my good friend Doula Kay, trying to keep the labor progressing. Well, I guess preparing to birth a baby is sorta romantic. 🙂
It’s hard to believe my one and only little prince will officially be 4 tomorrow.
