If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.

These last several miles were very easy to get in since I have a walking trail right outside our condo. Yay!!
A few of you wanted to know of any weight loss. Well, first off, exclusively breastfeeding a 5 month old baby can make weight loss a bit tricky. Yes it does burn up a lot of calories, but those calories need to be replenished and I know my body isn’t gonna let go of the baby weight until it’s ready. With the other children, the weight didn’t come off until I started adding in solids and then it simply fell off.
Meanwhile, I have a happy, healthy, 15 pound baby boy. And while I dropped only a few pounds, I can tell a big difference in my endurance and it appears as though I have officially dropped one clothing size. 🙂
The above picture is very similar to a poster my ballet teacher had in her studio. I loved the image of the seasoned ballerina and the Ward quote. While I am in no way near my old ballet physique, that obsessiveness that kept me trying and trying until I got something right is still there today. Although, after having a few children, a bit of that perfectionism is vanishing.
I loved that poster on her wall and still have every one of my old pointe shoes! Last time I counted, I have 14 pairs in the attic. Hmmmmm……..
Starting Monday, the Mamas will begin a new mission–36 days of an hour of activity. That breaks down to another 6 week challenge with one day off each week.
We can choose whatever fitness program we like, but it must be an hour long.
We’re following some good nutrition guidelines too–only water to drink, 5 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables each day and absolutely NO dining out. All of our meals must be prepared at home.
Well, those are some good guidelines to have anyway. I’ll keep my counter on the blog since our leader checks those when she posts the final results and on Monday I’ll change it to the new challenge.
