Do you remember those yummy orange creamsicle pops from childhood? This dreamy orange whip recipe is the perfect walk down memory lane, and only takes three ingredients to make! It’s yummy. It’s healthy. And it’s a must-have recipe for the books. Enjoy!
3-Ingredient Dreamy Orange Whip
This recipe may only have three ingredients but there’s quite a bit of nutritious value. For starters, concentrated orange juice is made by squeezing the juice from fresh oranges. They key is to get the kind without any added sugars. Juice concentrate contains beneficial plant compounds and are associated with many health benefits.
With orange juice concentrate we’re talking the possibility of improved heart health and decreased inflammation. The flavonoids in orange juice may help fight chronic inflammation associated with obesity.
This recipe also calls for cottage cheese, which is an excellent source of protein and contains a few (good) calories. It’s also packed with many nutrients, such as B vitamins and calcium.
The final health boost is the vanilla protein powder. This particular powder has 20 grams of non-GMO plant-protein, 23 highly bioavailable vitamins and minerals, 5 grams of dietary fiber, and digestive enzymes. Vanilla protein powder is the perfect companion for a busy life because it offers on-the-go nutrition while helping you cut calories and lose weight. Not to mention, it helps make this drink tasty and healthy!
Dreamy Orange Whip Variations
This particular recipe calls for cottage cheese; however, you can also substitute for some of the following:
- a fat and sugar free French Vanilla creamer
- store-bought orange juice frozen into ice cubes
- sugar free whipped cream
- fresh orange slices
- cool whip
- cream cheese
The idea is to use quick and healthy ingredients that will you give you that orange creamsicle taste that we all loved as kids. Play around with different ingredients until you find the taste and flavor you love.
How to Make Dreamy Orange Whip
These can all be purchased at the grocery store, with the exception of the vanilla protein powder. You’ll want to snag that here. I use it in several other recipes too (see those linked below).
- 1/8 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Combine all the ingredients and blend! That’s it! Enjoy!
As I mentioned above, I have a few other recipes that use the protein powder:
