- Don’t forget to sweep under the dining room table.

Yes, it is so much worth it to have our children work beside us. They learn to take directions and orders from someone so that when they have a job it will not be hard

It’s on-the-job training at its best. 🙂

I’ve clicked through and read your post on Raising Homemakers but found the comments closed – I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed it! You raise some really important points. I have always believed there is more to homemaking and being a housewife than meets the eye (I started blogging as The 21st Century Housewife 15 years ago) and I’m so glad you’ve shared this post with us at Hearth and Soul. I’ll be featuring it at this week’s party.

Hey, April! Thanks so much for taking the time to come back here and comment. I don’t know why the comments on that post are closed. Strange. I often need to be reminded that there’s more than simply dusting and vacuuming and is a place that gives life to my family. I’m still work-in-progress. Thanks again for visiting, and for the feature.
