First of all, I realized that we have 4 weeks left of school instead of 3. But that’s OK–we’ll still get through this. So 8 weeks of school to fit into 4.
We’ve already been to the grocery store, unloaded the van (the kids are so great at helping me unload groceries), made a contribution to a local charity shop, helped Andrew get ready for an upcoming business trip, and started on school. Jared has therapy later on and I am determined to finish up some laundry today.
Things have been crazy around here but as of November 14th, we should be done with our first semester and all of the business trips should be done as well. Then we plan to focus on the arrival of the new baby. Now watch the baby arrive that weekend! That weekend is the Above Rubies conference too, but who knows how I’ll feel. I can’t imagine a better event to attend at the end of a pregnancy, but considering it’s 4 hours away, I just don’t know if I’ll feel like driving. Fortunately I have many of Nancy’s teaching CD’s, which are recordings of other conferences and I have one which is still waiting to be listened to. ๐
Have I mentioned my “baby’s coming” to-do list is growing? It’s just getting longer and longer, but we’re so wrapped up with school and other things right now that there are days when I wonder, “When did having a baby become so complicated?” So I recognized that as my signal to focus on what’s in front of me right now. No major decision making or big purchases allowed, at least until after mid-November. ๐
