One thing I’ve learned while following the THM plan is that I feel more satisfied after eating an on-plan snack than if I’d eaten a more conventional, high-sugar treat. These cheesecake balls were delicious, and after enjoying a few that were freshly prepared, I popped the remainder into the freezer, where I grabbed one whenever I needed a snack or a little pick-me-up.

THM Recipes: Peanut Butter Cheesecake Balls
Making new THM recipes is a great way to experiment in the kitchen and learn more about flavors that satisfy without adding a ton of unnecessary things into your diet. Since sugar is a no-no on this diet, I have learned all about satisfying my taste buds with alternatives like the THM Sweet Blend. I am surprised by how well these peanut butter cheesecake balls help keep me satisfied without traditional sugar.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup sugar-free peanut butter
- 8-ounce package cream cheese
- 1/4 cup THM Sweet Blend
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Freeze the mixture for 30 minutes, then shape into balls. Place them back into the freezer for another 30 minutes. Grab one whenever your sweet tooth kicks in.
After labeling, I store these in small freezer containers, or grab a couple snack-size bags and freeze them in batches of 2 or 3. Double bag them if you plan to store for long term. Otherwise, they will be fine in single bags for short term storage in the freezer. A single batch won’t last for long in our freezer since the kids enjoy them so much. My children, from the 3-year-old up to the 12-year-old, thought these were delicious.
Adding more THM recipes to your menu plan is a great way to cut out unnecessary sugar and enjoy healthier options the entire family will love. A special dessert treat like these is something you don’t have to feel guilt about sharing with your children after school or as a dessert after dinner.

Hi Sara Elizabeth, thank you for sharing this recipe! I am about to begin doing the THM plan, and this is very encouraging! You mentioned something about the Plan a Meal program; is there a way to pick this using THM? I visited the link you provided and only see grocery store choices, not some for THM.
Yes! After you select your grocery store, you can then select which meal option you’d like–gluten-free, Family-friendly, Paleo, and then there’s “Trim Lifestyle.” π
I know this is an S but could you tell me how many is in a serving?
According to the menu, it will serve 4-6 people. π
So I’m back a week later for more, had to comment and say thanks for sharing!! Xoxoxo
π Always thrilled to see you here, Tanya. π
Amazing!! Back for seconds π
If I added cocoa would that take it off plan?
Oh! That sounds delightful! I think that would work well, but would make sure the cocoa is a FP.
Yum!!! Trying these today! Also, my name.is Sara Elizabeth too….spelled the same. π
Many ladies in our church are doing, or are interested in starting THM. We are starting a kind of support group, getting together once a month to share recipes and encouragement. I plan on bring these to our first meeting π Try dipping in skinny chocolate – yummy!
do you think that these balls could hold up to adding a few scoops of protein powder?
Oh! Absolutely!!! π
peanut butter and cream cheese are always a magical combo! i am sharing these on The Low Carb Test Kitchen Facebook page for Saturday.
Can we replace the THM Sweet Blend with Truvia? If so, would it still be 1/4 cup?
Yes it will. π
Do you think I could sub my PB2 in for peanut butter?
Oh yeah! π
What is pb2? What about the peanut butter junkie from the new cook book? Would that work
Hmmmm, that might! I need to check into it.
Peanut Butter Junkie is an awesome recipe from the Trim Healthy Mama cookbook and will absolutely work in this recipe π
I love PB Junkie! π Thanks for stopping by. π
PB2 would work for this recipe, however, PB2 has sugar and would make these an “off-plan” meal if following the Trim Healthy Mama nutrition plan
Thanks so much for sharing your tip, Kathleen! π
Hi Sara! Thanks for the amazing recipe!! I can’t wait to try it!! If I sub the Sweet Blend with truvia would it be best if I powdered it first? Also how much protein powder do you think could be added? Thanks!!
It might! I followed the recipe as it’s written. I add protein powder to just about everything, and I bet the Pristine Whey Protein would be a great addition. Maybe add in a half of a scoop and see how it works?
Meant to post that I live your name!!
Is this super sweet blend or gentle sweet for the ingredient?
This would’ve been the super sweet blend. π
Does sweetener have to be added?
I followed the recipe as written, and it was great! π
How much should your recipe yield? And thanks so much for sharing it!
I can’t remember exactly how many we got from the batch but it was enough to line a 9 x 13 pan and last for a few days. I have 6 children though, and we all pulled a few from the freezer as we wanted them. π
About how many carbs per ball do you think?
I think that would depend on the specific ingredient you decide to use and how many you’re able to make from one batch. π
Thank you for posting a recipe that I already have the ingredients for :). I have a diabetic friend coming over and wanted to be able to offer a dessert. If it wasn’t bedtime, I think I’d make these right now π
Awesome! π They’re very yummy. π
Thank you. I just made these and added skinny chocolate to them. They are amazing.
This look so yummy! Can’t wait to make them for dessert tonight! Thank you!
This recipe is perfect for the holidays! Thanks for sharing! Stopping by from the Inspiration Monday party.
It’s totally perfect! π Thanks for visiting.
Love peanut butter AND cream cheese, so there are right up my alley! So the sweet blend is a sugar substitute? Could I use xylitol? x
You could use Xylitol, but you’d need to add more to make it as sweet. I’d try 1 cup and then adjust from there. Thanks for stopping by. π
These look delish! Thanks for sharing them with us at Funtastic Friday Blog Hop!
They are! And so quick and easy to make, too. Thanks so much for stopping by.
