Protein-Boosting Spicy Chai Shake
Another ingredient in the spicy chai shake is one that I talk about and use in other beverages quite often. The vanilla protein powder used in this recipe provides protein (of course), but also other beneficial nutrients. Some of them include prebiotic fiber to support digestion and gut health, calcium, zinc, vitamins A, C, E, and more! When adding this to any beverage, you know you’re getting a boost of nutrients!
How to Make this Shake
In addition to the vanilla protein powder, you’ll only need chai tea bags, boiling water and milk. Use the chai tea bags to make the chai tea ice cubes (details below) and make extra so you’ll always have them on hand.
Ingredients
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 chai tea bag
- 4 ice cubes (1/2 cup) frozen chai tea
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Directions for pre-making the frozen chai tea ice cubes: Boil water. Pour boiling water over tea bag. Seep 10 minutes. Pour the tea into ice cube trays and freeze overnight.
Directions
To make the shake place 4 ice cubes (or 1/2 cup) frozen chai tea into blender. Add 1/2 cup milk and 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder. Blend for up to one minute. Top it with whipped cream and drizzle of chocolate syrup for an extra sweet treat!
