It’s taken us over 3 weeks to finally get into a somewhat routine.
Many changes have been made, including bed times, meal times, and school!
I’ve started going to bed at 8:00, which has cut a big dent into my usual night time schedule, but it’s worked out very well. Don’t confuse “going to bed,” for “going to sleep,” though. Just because Mama is vanishing to the bedroom doesn’t mean Mama is asleep. But it does help quite a bit to have everything else taken care of. I’m hoping as Camden gets older, we can get back into our usual swing of things.
We started school up again this week and I’m honestly shocked about that. We’re doubling up on some subjects but taking an easy pace with others. By March, Morgan will have completed two separate 1st grade math programs. So I think it’s safe to say she’s got 1st grade math down! We’re trying to decide if we should move her on to 2nd grade math or switch to yet another math program, but one that is much more challenging. Or we may take a break from math and focus more on reading, since that’s where she’s lacking some.
My doctor changed my thyroid med dose nearly 2 weeks ago and I’m feeling TONS better now. Increasing is easy but trying to deplete one’s body and getting to a lower dose is much more difficult. BTW I hear a lot of folks say they wish their drs. would increase their thyroid meds so they can lose weight and even people who abuse the drug as a form of weight loss. It’s so not worth it. When my dose is too high, sure I do lose weight, but it’s not worth the rapid heart rate, being unable to sleep, burning up, sweating when everyone else is cold, feeling “wired” all the time….and so on.
Now….back to tending to that babe.
