While at Wal-Mart this week, a young girl around the age of four, looked at me, lit up, and cheerfully exclaimed, “WOW! You have a bunch of kids!”
“I sure do,” I answered.
As I walked past the little girl and her mother, I heard the mother whisper, “Shhhh, honey, that’s not nice.”
I wasn’t at all offended (as if I have the time to be offended) and thought it was sweet the little girl noticed my “bunch” of children.
Anyway….I’m currently reading a book that is definitely gonna go on my recommending list. I don’t list a book unless I really like it and I’m sure most of y’all have noticed that many of the books below aren’t exactly in the mainstream. But I don’t like “fluff,” and while I may not agree 110% with an author or two, I appreciate those who are willing to go against the flow and find they offer some genuine, helpful insights.

The soon to be added book is Table for Eight: Raising a large family in a small family world by Meagan Francis
Even if you don’t have a “big family,” this book is written for anyone who has ever considered having more than two kids, plans to have more than two kids, or simply wants a glimpse into how these families make things run.
The author caters to what she calls “Table for Eight Families,” meaning families who are in between small families (no more than two children) and “mega families,” (families with 8+ kids).
A wonderful read with good, useful, practical advice and information. Fantastic!
The link over in the list of books will promptly send you to amazon to take a look.
