While searching the net, I discovered that Andrew and I both fall under a category called Bibliomania! Oh my goodness! They have a name for everything these day, don’t they?
I’ve often told folks that we had to buy a storage shed just to hold all of our books! While they’ve all been read, and we don’t read these books at the moment, we can’t justify letting them go. Who knows–one day while tending to my many, many children, I just may want to break open Merriam-Webster’s Encyclopedia of Literature, the Writer’s Guide to Character Traits, Anna karenina, and so forth. Yes, you see that list below of all the books I’m recommending. Well, no need to actually follow the links, you can just buy them directly from us.
Yes, we indeed had to buy a storage shed just to house about 1000 books (that’s not an exaggeration) which we haven’t read in years and years. And we have at least hundreds more within the house! Our dream is to one day have a house in which we can even dedicate a room for all our books! Yes! We want our very own library!
But we love books! We just LOVE them! I cringe when I read about the Amazon Kindle or how we can download texts on Andrew’s iphone. And I’m sure Andrew has told most of y’all how screens disturb me. (By screens, I’m referring to places where hymnals and Bibles are no longer used, because someone is able to print the text across a screen).
It took me awhile just to get used to the blog instead of paper and ink!
