My last day in braces

I can’t believe this is IT!!!! My LAST DAY in braces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It feels like just yesterday I had them put on and they’ve had to stay on for an extra couple of months. The morning sickness stuff affected my ability to wear elastics, so there ya go. I only have ONE MORE DAY to wear these huge elastics which keep my mouth tied shut. Do y’all have any idea how difficult it is to teach phonics when you can’t open your mouth more than an inch? Poor Morgan thought the long “a” sound was actually a long “e” sound.

I bought a big box of peanut brittle and still have some of those farm fresh apples that I cannot wait to eat without having to cut them up.

And I can’t wait to throw out my waterpick and be able to floss again, the normal way! I was hoping to ditch the threaders, too!

My only quibble is that they’re welding a permanent retainer to the back of my lower teeth. I’m worried about how that’s going to keep me possibly attached to that waterpick and the floss threaders.

This time tomorrow I’ll be getting them off!!! My teeth are so sore in this final stage of elastics and I’ve had bad headaches too.

Oops, where has the time gone? Time to run a little boy to therapy!
