What a fun time! The whole family enjoyed the camp in Louisiana and the weather was lovely!
Of course I have many, many pictures to share.
We attended an Above Rubies family camp. I’ve attended the Ladies Retreats before and thought it was great but the family camp was just amazing. We returned with a renewed sense of family vision and unity.
Bianca and I were also able to get together and Linden is just absolutely precious.
Here are some pics of Bianca, myself, Camden, and Linden.

The bell below was used to call us to chapel, meals, games, etc. I wanted to get a picture of someone ringing it, but never made it in time.
Morgan made a friend, Ele, as soon as she arrived. These two really hit it off and it was made better by their being our next door neighbors at the camp!
Saturday afternoon was family game time. There were two fields and a couple of courts. The families had a great afternoon. Bianca and I sat under some shade and watched from afar. LOL

We had to wear our Sunday Best for the Saturday night Shabbat Meal, even Camden wore some dressy overalls. π I’ve never experienced a Shabbat Meal, but it was very touching, and we plan to incorporate it as a weekly ritual.
A pic of a woman preparing the banquet hall and also a picture of our table. The whole atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful.
The family sitting down at the dinner table.
As part of the Shabbat meal, the father in each family not only blesses his wife but he also goes around to each child and blesses him or her. Here’s a picture of Andrew blessing Camden.
Saturday night, the kids put on a little concert for the parents.
After the Saturday night banquet, many families participated in a talent show. I loved this little act. This Dad has six children, which includes five daughters!! (He could relate to my own dad, I’m sure). The Dad writes songs and when he sings, his girls will dance along and act out the lyrics. They were a darling family.
I don’t know what talent our family has, but perhaps next year, we’ll be able to do something. π
Some sweetie noticed I kept taking pics of my family and insisted she get one of me with Camden after the Saturday night Prayer meeting. Every evening, after sessions, the kids all gathered in the cafeteria for some late night snacks. The weather was in the 60s in the evenings and the kids had fun playing well into the late hours. Thankfully, for the parent’s sake, there was a curfew.
Eating breakfast before church on Sunday morning. The food was prepared right there at the camp and was a wonderful sampling of Louisiana flavor.
This darling lady is Sherry. She was my prayer partner Saturday night. Jared also just fell in love with her and we had to keep pulling him back so she could have some privacy. LOL Super sweetie!
The family below was just neat. They have TEN children (all adopted) and they were so cordial and nice. We were amazed at how the whole family worked so well together. It was a real inspiration and we were admittedly jealous. The ten children have been adopted from all over, from the US, China, Haiti, Guatemala, and a few other countries which I cannot remember. Wonderful family!
Here’s a video from the camp. Can you find our family? We’re there. π
