Well, not sure if “hypnotic” is the right word.
I am still working through my Anatomy and Physiology section of school and while I find it interesting at times, it’s by far the most tedious of lessons.
Currently I’m also working through my coloring book
After a while, the colors all start to run together and I find myself getting things mixed up and accidently coloring things incorrectly. I don’t recommend coloring late at night.
On the other hand though, it’s pretty neat how complex our bodies are. I knew we had a rather large muscular system, but WOW–our bodies are definitely very “woven” in all sorts of intricate patterns. It’s amazing to see how all the different systems work together to form a single person. Working through the book and the lessons inspires me to take care of myself–my body does a lot of work each day and definitely puts up with a lot of what I put it through. Granted at the moment, I’m eating whatever sounds good to me at the time, but I am looking forward to getting back to eating the way I need to. I was doing very, very well until morning sickness set in. 🙁
In all honesty, I do think this book will make a good addition to our homeschool curriculum later on down the road. While the coloring can become a bit “drawn out,” it’s far more interesting than anything I used in school.
I am looking forward though to completing this section so that I can get on with the next and hopefully complete the First Module before September–that’s my goal now, but all the First Trimester Blues have slowed me down in a lot of ways.
I have a feeling I’m going to have to contact the registrar and apply for an extension as I only have a year to complete the course, and then there’s the practicum, but we’ll see how it goes…..actually I’ve been able to use a lot of my experiences during pregnancy in discussion and even got an accolade from one of my instructors in regards to my view on morning sickness….cool, eh?
