Wow!

We are so grateful to have such great friends.

Yesterday we got the great news that our request for an adoption extension was approved! However, we didn’t receive approval through October 2010, as we’d expected, but rather through April 2010. That’s six months we’re out.

I contacted my agency and learned I have 30 days to get my Dossier completed. But since we’re not going to be in town from May 7th through the 17th, we have until May 6th! That’s only 3 weeks to get our papers in order, Notarized, Certified, and sent in to our agency.

But I like a good mission, so immediately jumped into action.

Last night I e-mailed many of our good, close friends asking for reference letters. I know these are time consuming but they’re extremely important. Since then, I’ve heard back from at least three people. We need at least five references, two for the agency and a few extra for financial aid.

We’re in for a big weekend! We have some work being done on the house, we’re going to be out of town, and I have to finish getting all this paper work together. My goal is to have everything ready to send to Little Rock by next Saturday, so we can get everything back in time to send on to IFS.
