Camden is still a wee one and while we love the name Camden, we’re seriously considering calling him Gabriel. We didn’t talk about Gabriel until two days before he was born and it was only because Andrew was talking about a co-worker named Gabriel.
When I was in the hospital and the nurses kept bugging me for a name, Gabriel just seemed so obvious, what with Christmas and all. Since we’d already discussed Camden as a first name, we just needed a middle name. Actually Gabriel is one of our favorite names and I can’t believe we didn’t think of it before.
Andrew prefers Gabriel, but we don’t want him called “Gabe.” Others have said as long as I call him Gabriel, no one will call him Gabe. I tried it once. Someone asked what his name was and when I said, “Gabriel,” she immediately said,
“AH! Gabe! You can call him Gabe!”
Also Camden has become so popular overnight…I have now heard of at least five Camdens since December 16th!
We got our new church directory this week and for our family, our children are listed as “Morgan, Jared, Elena, and Gabriel.” I got a kick over that.
What do y’all think? Is it too late to start calling him Gabriel? Would it be too weird? When thinking of our babes, does Camden seem to be the one to fit?
Since I tend to get more e-mails than comments, send me an e-mail, post a comment, or go vote over in the poll. 🙂
