Homeschool Overload

We are feeling the work!! Morgan has been a real trooper though and has a fantastic attitude. She’s only asked me once, “Mama, do I have to keep doing school?” Normally we’re done by lunch time, but since we’re doubling up, school happens again in the afternoon. It may sound as though that’d be a typical day anyway, but when you’re teaching some concentrated material, it can be tough.

It’s also that time of year when I begin researching curriculum for the next year. Sounds odd, doesn’t it? We research in the fall and then order in the spring. So far this morning I have spent hours looking over catalogs (which is usually a ton of fun), sold a bunch of extra curriculum, taken Jared to therapy, and taught two Reading/Spelling/Math lessons. This afteroon we’ll tackle two history and science lessons. We have homeschool group tomorrow, so that’s going to be a hectic afternoon, I’m sure.

I feel a good naptime coming today for Jared and Elena. Morgan and I will keep doing our work and go on through the day.
