In the past three years, I have met two women who have developed some form of cancer which their doctors attributed to environmental factors. Specifically for these two women, they believed the biggest culprit was their skin care and cosmetics.
I’m sure we’ve all heard that our skin is our largest organ–while it’s a protectant for our bodies, it does absorb stuff.
Awhile back I stumbled onto Skin Deep Cosmetic Database and it can be used to look up skin care, make-up, hair care, sunscreens, lotions, etc. I am frequently using it to check out my own products. I’ve already mentioned that I tried Lluvia skin care about a year ago and then finally purchased the entire kit in February of this year. Lluvia is completely organic and botanical. It has an expensive start-up price tag of about $250 for the complete kit, but in the past 7 or so months, I’ve only had to replace one jar, as it’s so concentrated. I’ll note though that my skin is on the normal side, so I don’t require a lot of the oils and moisturizer. I know a woman who goes through a whole bottle of the Camu C Serum every month, but she has more mature skin and needs that extra moisture. Lluvia has also introduced a new basic set, which is quite less expensive and a good start for those who wish to give it a try.
And for those of you who live in Arkansas, I know of a local spa which provides facials using Lluvia, but they also charge full price to purchase the prodcuts, and that can be extremely expensive! E-mail me if you want to know the spa location.
