As soon as I read about this, I knew it’d become a post!
Many of you have heard me talk about my sweet cousin, Catie, who learned she had cancer while pregnant with her 3rd child. I can’t imagine hearing that news at any point in my life, and certainly not while carrying a new life.
Whenever I read her posts while I was pregnant, I felt so ashamed for all my whining and complaining about morning sickness and other aches and pains. Her posts revealed her sweet demeanor and constant strength and she was handling much bigger trials with more grace than I ever could.
Catie is one of my Uncle Eston’s grandchildren. Some of you have read about him in my short stories.I have many great memories of playing with her and the rest of my cousins out on our “Pa’s” farms (again, as you read about them in my stories).
Recently, a few family members (I’ve often said the Dunns are a big family and here’s proof–many family members represented in the above picture)ran the Wasatch Back Race, which is 188 miles long from Logan to Park City, Utah along the Wasatch Back.
They called themselves Team C.A.T.I.E., which stands for courageous, admirable, tough, inspirational, and exemplary.
You can visit Catie’s blog by clicking here.
We love you Catie and are praying for you and your sweet family! You are such an inspiration!

Sara- your post made me cry. Thank you for your sweet comments. Your blog has brought inspiration to me many times. You are a wonderful person and an incredible mother. I love keeping updated on you and your family. I hope you are having a wonderful day today. xoxo
Oh now you’re making me cry!
We hope to catch up with the rest of the family soon. The internet helps a lot, but I don’t think we’ve seen many folks since Pa’s funeral back in 2006.
We love y’all!!
